Description
Texifier For Mac Overview
Texifier is a LaTeX editor designed to make it easy to navigate, edit, and typeset projects of any size. Open a root LaTeX file and Texifier will scan it, open all referenced files, extract the document structure for display in outline view, and configure the typesetter to match the packages and tools used in your document.
Texifier For Mac Features
The Texifier editor features syntax highlighting, a theme selector, auto-completion of commands including those defined in your document, auto-completion for \cite and \ref commands, and many other features. The document structure view in a powerful sidebar makes it easy to navigate large multi-file projects. In addition, the Texifier outline lists all labels, figures, tables, tasks, and the search bar can search and replace the entire project using either a plain text search or a regular expression search.
TexpadTeX – Built into Texifier, no Internet connection is required, the typesetter comes with PGF drivers, Native Fonts extensions, Unicode, and more. This allows it to support almost any available LaTeX package. TexpadTeX also integrates the BibteX tool and a Makeindex-compatible indexer for documents that require these tools. The built-in package manager takes care of downloading, installing, and updating LaTeX packages for you, giving you access to almost the entire LaTeX ecosystem without taking up any more space on your device than necessary.
TexpadTeX can work in real time, updating the output as you type, so you never have to wait for your typesetting to finish again.
For the rare cases where your documents are incompatible with TexpadTeX, you can use our free cloud typesetters. They are fully integrated into Texifier, so click Type and Texifier will start typesetting in the cloud, presenting the results just as if they were typeset on your device.
After typesetting, any errors in your document are organized in a table of issues. Click on an issue to jump directly to the problematic line of the LaTeX source code, or to the line in the raw log if you want to read the raw output.
Texifier supports Markdown as well as LaTeX. Edit your document in Texifier’s syntax highlighting editor, preview your document for structure, and then when you hit Typeset, the document will be transparently converted and typeset in LaTeX, combining the informal simplicity of Markdown with LaTeX’s ability to create beautiful, high-quality PDFs. Similarly, Plain TeX users can edit and typeset their documents in Texpad.
