For 20 years, Native Instruments KONTAKT has been the basis of countless movie soundtracks and pop hits, as well as thousands of incredible instruments from NI and your favorite developers NKS.
Now, with a new HiDPI viewing interface, updated factory library,
new creative effects and internal audio enhancements, the next evolution is almost here.
Installation
1) Run the Kontakt 8 8.1.0 Setup program on your computer.
2) Disable your antivirus and unzip Kontakt 8.1.0 Patcher.7z, then run Kontakt 8.1.0 Patcher as administrator.
(If you unchecked the AAX or VST3 box during installation, the patcher will tell you that it cannot find the file, just click the NO button).
Click the Patch button and wait for the text to appear DONE in the lower left corner
How to add a library? ?
After successful registration of Kontakt, you can add the library with ” Kontakt_Button ” to the folder ” C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8 “
If this utility is missing, it may have been blacklisted by your antivirus or Kontakt has not registered properly.
Can I install the latest version of Kontakt 8 over the previous version of Kontakt (bobdule) ?
YES! You can, just make sure you use the same location (default).
Can Kontakt 6/7 or Kontakt 8 work side by side ?
Yes! You can install both versions without any conflicts.
How to make Kontakt 8 look like classic Kontakt 6 ? in VIEW
menu , change Single View/Rack View, press LIBRARY for New/Old Library View. To save the settings permanently, press ” Set view Settings as default ” from VIEW menu.
