Mastercam is one of the world’s most popular CAD and CAM software packages. It enables machinists to design and manufacture parts using sophisticated tool control technology. Mastercam successfully includes a number of computer tools that allow machine operators to manufacture various parts. These tools include:
Design
The following Mastercam products include powerful 3D computer-aided design capabilities, including geometric modeling, blending, trimming, and variable filleting. As a complement to the following products, CNS offers a Parasolid-based design tool. This tool offers a history tree, as well as excellent machining and chamfering capabilities.
Mill
The milling tool allows for various functions such as single and multiple surface roughing and flexible pocket machining.
Lathe
A lathe allows machinists to perform cutting operations on a traditional lathe using computer automation. Lathe tooling capabilities include roughing, threading, and boring.
Router
The milling tool provides excellent engraving, as well as roughing and finishing of one and several surfaces.
Wire
This tool allows for full 2- and 4-axis toolpath creation.
Art
The Art Tool is an affordable addition to the Router and Milling tools. It makes it easy to efficiently convert 2D images into 3D shapes.
