iZotope Audiolens Features
A lens that listens
The new Audiolens desktop app makes it easy to compare and contrast tracks by analyzing audio from any streaming platform or audio source. Play your chosen audio file through your device’s output of choice, and the app will collect data on key audio characteristics, helping you visualize, compare, and contrast your favorite reference tracks and sounds.
Save your favorites
Save your reference tonal data to your Audiolens Target Library to create a personal catalog of reference track data that you can access at any time.
Name your tracks so you can quickly find sounds you want to match and easily compare tonal balance profiles. The Target Library communicates with Ozone 11 and Neutron 4, automatically populating your references to these plugins if you have them.
Match any master
Audiolens will automatically populate saved reference targets in your Ozone 11 target library
so you can visualize how your master matches your chosen reference.
Launch the AI-powered Master Assistant to match the tone, dynamics, and width profiles of your desired track to your own master, and make further adjustments using Assistant View.
Intelligent mixing, faster
Audiolens will automatically populate your saved reference targets into your Neutron 4.5 target library,
where they will be analyzed by the Neutron Assistant. You can then quickly match the characteristics of your own track’s mix, whether that’s adding punch to your bass, crunch to your snare, or sizzle to your hi-hats. Customize your sound even further by using the Assistant View to adjust elements of your mix.
About References
Producers and engineers use reference tracks during music production, mixing, and mastering.
This is the process of comparing the dynamic range and character of your song to songs of a similar genre and style that have the sound you want. The dynamic range and sonic character of a reference track can be used to convey the sound you are aiming for in your mix or master.
Reference tracks are also a way to develop a musical vocabulary that will help you communicate when working with others on a song.
