Description
VueScan Professional Overview
VueScan is a program for working with HP, Minolta, Nikon, Polaroid, Epson, Canon and others scanners. Can work with internal color depth. VueScan supports automatic and manual settings for most parameters and batch scanning. More than 6,000 scanner models are supported, with a certain advantage in the direction of slide scanners – Nikon, Minolta, Polaroid, Microtek, Epson. There is automatic removal of image defects using an infrared scanning channel and multi-pass scanning with subsequent averaging of the result to suppress the scanner’s own noise. There are filters for suppressing grain, not sharp masking and removing the spurious tint of the original. There are means for manual adjustment of the dynamic range and gradation characteristics (independently on channels R, G, B).
VueScan Professional Features
In most cases, the standard device driver has extremely limited capabilities for adjusting scanning parameters. Using the often hidden capabilities of a particular scanner, the program allows you to flexibly customize the image processing process, including advanced color correction, multi-pass and batch scanning capabilities, hardware exposure adjustment, selection of maximum color depth and saved file format.
Of great interest is the function of saving the original scanner data into a file (raw file) and subsequent processing of this data when the device is turned off, which eliminates the need to rescan originals and increases the equipment resource.
The VueScan program will be especially relevant when working with transparent originals (negatives, slides), because The program contains information about the color characteristics of more than 150 types of films. We are talking, first of all, about a color negative mask, which can vary greatly between different films and manufacturers. The program provides direct selection of a mask from a list of common films, as well as the ability to manually adjust the color components of the mask layer.
User settings can be saved in a special file, which allows you to create individual profiles for each type of work.

Supports over 500 scanner models and RAW files from 185 digital camera models
