Spotify Overview
Modified desktop client Spotify without ads, for modification the patcher
SpotX was used , the installation file was taken from SpotX Community .
Spotify Features
● All banner, video and audio ads are blocked
● Updates are disabled
● Audio cache limit is set to 2.5 Gb (optional)
● Old/new theme (optional)
● Hidden podcasts/sections similar to ads from the main page (optional)
● Activated static theme for song lyrics (optional)
● Activated some experimental features of the native client
● Suitable for premium accounts, in this case ads will not be blocked except for audio ads in podcasts
● For free users, some interface attributes that only work for premium accounts are hidden (downloading tracks, very high sound quality)
Installation
1. Remove other versions of Spotify if there are any.
2. Run the downloaded SetupSpotify.exe
● If you are updating this mod, you can install it over the old version, but a clean install is always welcome
FAQ
Q. I receive ads, why?
A. When installing, please specify your real account type, for example: if it is a free account, then you should select “Free”
Q. Where did the song lyrics go?
A. On 05/01/2024, song lyrics were restricted on the server side for all free users, and on 07/30/2024, lyrics were partially returned.
