SolidWorks Premium Overview

SolidWorks is a system for computer-aided design, engineering analysis and preparation of production of products of any complexity and purpose.
SolidWorks is the core of an integrated enterprise automation suite that supports the product life cycle in accordance with the concept of CALS technologies, including bidirectional data exchange with other Windows applications and the creation of interactive documentation.
Depending on the class of tasks being solved, customers are offered three basic system configurations:
SolidWorks, SolidWorks Professional and SolidWorks Premium.

Installation

Be sure to disable Internet access during installation
1. Run sw2024_network_serials_licensing.reg and make changes to the system registry.
2. Copy SolidWorks_Flexnet_Server to the root folder C:/
Run server_install.bat as administrator and wait for the process to complete.
3. Mount SolidWorks.2024.SP1.Premium.DVD.iso to the virtual drive, run Setup.exe and start installing the program.
If you select the installation “Install server components” > SOLIDWORKS PDM Server
– do not install SolidNetwork License Manager
When the installer asks for the License Server address, enter 25734@localhost

3.1. If a warning window appears during the installation – ignore it (click “next”)
3.2. If a warning appears during the installation: “SolidWorks Serial number was not found in activation database” – ignore it (click “ok”)
3.3. If the entire list of possible components is not visible, click “Select different package” and check the box next to “Select products not included in this package”
3.4. Select the components you need to install
3.5. If an error appears during the installation: “The Installation Manager was unable to determine the current subscription expiration date. Would you like to reactivate your license to update this information?” – click “No” and click “Yes” on “Do you want to do it later?”

After installation:
1.1. Launch Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del), go to the Details tab and remove the sldworks_fs.exe task (if any)
1.2. Delete C:Program FilesSOLIDWORKS CorpSOLIDWORKSnetapi32.dll (if any)
1.3. Rename C:Program FilesSOLIDWORKS CorpSOLIDWORKS PDMStoredProcs.dll to StoredProcs.dll.bak (if such a file exists)
1.4. Copy and replace the medicine from the SOLIDWORKS Corp pharmacy folder to C:Program FilesSOLIDWORKS Corp

2. Run SolidSQUADLoaderEnabler.reg and make changes to the system registry.

3. Restart the OS.

4. Run the software and in Help > SolidNetWork License Manager > License Order, using the “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons, change the positions of the components with the premium addition above the similar Professional and Standard.
Click “apply” to save the settings.
