For 20 years, Native Instruments KONTAKT has been the basis of countless movie soundtracks and pop hits, as well as thousands of incredible instruments from NI and your favorite developers NKS.
Now, with a new HiDPI viewing interface, updated factory library,
new creative effects and internal audio enhancements, the next evolution is almost here.
Installation
1) Run the Kontakt 7 7.10.1 Setup program on your computer.
2) Disable your antivirus and extract K7 Next Patcher.7z, then run Kontakt 7 Next Patcher as administrator.
(If you unchecked AAX or VST3 during installation, the patcher will tell you that it cannot find the file, just click the NO button).
Click the Patch button and wait for the green text to appear
DONE in the lower left corner.
Can I install the latest version of Kontakt 7 over the previous version of Kontakt 7 (bobdule) ?
YES! You can, just make sure you use the same location (default).
Can I install Kontakt 6 or Kontakt 7 work side by side ?
Yes! You can install both versions without any conflicts.
How to make Kontakt 7 look like classic Kontakt 6 ?
in VIEW menu , change Single View/Rack View, press LIBRARY for New/Old Library View.
To save the settings permanently, click ” Set view Settings as default ” from the VIEW menu.

RECOGNIZED ISSUE Text fields in Rack View do not receive certain keystrokes while the Edit View is displayed. This issue was introduced in Kontakt 7.9.0 and will be resolved in a future update.
RECOGNIZED ISSUE In Pro Tools, the Kontakt window is cut off when scaled beyond the available display size.
RECOGNIZED ISSUE Kontakt standalone fails to launch when Canon EOS webcam software is installed.
