Multisim & Ultiboard [NI Circuit Design Suite] Overview
Circuit Design Suite combines Multisim and Ultiboard software to offer a complete set of tools for circuit design, simulation, validation and layout.
Circuit Design Suite helps you design circuits in an intuitive, cost-effective way. You can perform interactive SPICE simulations and easily navigate to PCB layout and routing software. Designed for teaching, research, and design, this package provides advanced simulation capabilities to give you a clear understanding of how circuits perform in any situation.
Multisim & Ultiboard [NI Circuit Design Suite] Features
Multisim is industry standard software that supports SPICE. It is used for modeling and programming circuits for analog, digital and power electronics in the fields of education and research.
Multisim integrates standard SPICE-based simulation with an interactive circuit design environment for instant visualization and analysis of electronic circuit behavior. Multisim’s intuitive interface helps educators reinforce circuit theory and improve theory learning across the curriculum. By adding powerful circuit simulation and analysis techniques to the design workflow, Multisim helps researchers and designers reduce printed circuit board (PCB) prototyping cycles and reduce development costs.
Ultiboard is PCB design and layout software that is tightly integrated with Multisim to speed up prototyping development.
Ultiboard software offers efficient PCB layout and routing in a customizable environment. You can use its flexible tools to precisely place parts and copper manually to identify critical board elements. You can quickly complete your design using its automated functionality. Advanced spreadsheet viewing capabilities, a suite of tools, and design wizards help you easily manage, control, and define the layout of any board. Tight integration with Multisim software ensures simple schematic-to-PCB conversion, while forward and backward annotation provides control over design cycles. You can easily export industry standard file formats such as Gerber and DXF to complete the design process from schematic to layout.
