LightBurn Overview
LightBurn is a program for layout, editing and control of your laser CNC.
LightBurn Features
– Import illustrations in a variety of common vector and image formats (including AI, PDF, SVG, DXF, PLT, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP)
– Organize, edit and even create new vector shapes in the editor using powerful functions such as offset, logic operations, welding and node editing.
– Apply settings such as power, speed, number of passes, cutting order, brightness and contrast, smoothing mode and more.
– Send the result directly to the laser CNC.
LightBurn communicates directly with your laser, without the need for additional software.
Currently most controllers based on Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom and GCode are supported. Supported GCode controllers include Grbl, Smoothieware, Grbl-LPC and Marlin. Supported Ruida controllers include RDC6442G/S, RDC6445G, RDC6332G, RDLC-320A and R5-DSP. Supported Trocen controllers include AWC708C, AWC608 and TL-3120.
Assembly Features:
– treatment and repack performed.
– the trial period has been increased in proportion to the greed of the developers for the version with DSP, registration has been completed for the version without DSP;
– cured from damage to blanks with the inscription “LightBurn is two developers. You are stealing our livelihood.”
Installation:
The following treatment has been performed:
– the crypto registration library lexactivator.dll has been rewritten from scratch – now it does not alert the developer about hacking;
– the procedure for checking the hash of the above-mentioned library has been killed in the binary code;
– in the binary code, the procedure for checking for the presence of hacking was killed – which spoiled the workpieces;
Installation procedure and license type
Due to the fact that the mechanism for the official additional license for DSP is currently unknown (it is unknown whether they enter some kind of code or receive a file from the developer), there are 2 installation options at the moment (due to the fact that I wrote the lexactivator.dll library with zero):
1. Endless demo – what’s good about it – it allows you, in addition to GRBL, to use DSP machines like Ruida and others. But once a day, when you first start it, it displays a window of the remaining period; in principle, this is not critical.
2. Registered – this license is basic, i.e. it does not support machines with DSP and they are hidden in it when added, and during operation a warning is issued that a DSP license is required. Based on this, this installation variation is suitable exclusively for GRBL machines.
3. Drivers and NetFramework for Win x64 have been added to the package.
