FinePrint & PDFFactory Pro Overview

FinePrint is a multifunctional driver for printers that significantly expands the capabilities of any printer when printing documents: preview, printing multiple pages on one sheet, printing brochures, automatic insertion of header and footer, creation of letterheads, substrates, frames and much more. FinePrint works with all printer models, being, in fact, a multifunctional universal printer driver with a convenient graphical shell for managing it. Another useful feature is the ability to use several pre-configured virtual printers.
For example, one will automatically print brochures, and the other will print text on a letterhead. Using FinePrint significantly

PDFFactory Pro is a program in the form of a virtual printer driver for creating documents in PDF format. Supports the creation of PDF-
projects from several documents or files and has a preview mode. It is possible to set a ban on editing a document, its
encryption and setting a password for opening. The professional version, compared to the standard one, has the ability to add page numbers, top and
footers, watermarks, the ability to create bookmarks and some other additions.
Version 4 has the ability to save in FP format, the ability to customize the user interface, and customize graphics for color and monochrome
files in scanned documents.
Installing the program is simple and does not cause any difficulties.
After installation, a new printer named FinePrint pdfFactory appears in your system .
By default it is set to A4 format. If you want to change anything in the settings, you need to go to the printer properties via Start > Settings > Printers > FinePrint pdfFactory. Here you can change the sheet size, its orientation, and set the print metrics. Printing means PDF-file — this is where the program prints, not on paper. The margins on the edges of the sheet or the print resolution can be set manually, or they can be emulated from any another printer installed in your system. Here in the “Show dialog” option you can specify whether to display a special editing dialog at the time of printing printed sheets or do without dialogue or any of its capabilities.
One of the options provides a print preview, the other – sending the resulting file by e-mail, for example, to your to the boss. In addition, in the “Downsample bitmaps to” option, you can control the quality of the “printed” images, so as not to inflate the sizes unnecessarily final file. The higher the DPI in this option, the larger the file size will be. And the Advanced button allows you to define the list of fonts embedded in any printing. With FinePrint pdfFactory you can print from any Windows application that supports print mode. All you need to do is select File > Print (or File > Print in English versions of the programs) and specify FinePrint pdfFactory as the printer. Once the printing process begins, all information output to the printer will actually be sent to a PDF file located in the “My Documents/PDF files” folder. The program without difficulties allow you to convert anything to PDF.
