Downie is a simple video downloader.
Downie supports over 1,000 popular sites such as YouTube (including 4K videos), Vimeo, MetaCafe, iView, Facebook and many more.
Select the quality and format of the downloaded file and enjoy your favorite videos.

Downie For Mac Features

● Ability to pause and resume downloads (note that refusing Downie will cancel downloads entirely).
● Automatically retry downloads when network connection failures occur.
● HTTP downloads are now broken into chunks (if supported by the server), hence faster download times are possible.
● Additional extraction methods. By default, Downie parses the website’s source code and tries to extract the video file. This has the advantage of allowing you to often choose from multiple video qualities, but this method may miss some media. If Downie doesn’t find something on the page by parsing it, it continues to actually load the page into the internal browser and looks for dynamically loaded media files.
● See which videos are currently popular – There is a blue button on the main window toolbar that shows 25 popular videos.
● Search YouTube, Vimeo and more directly from the application.
● Now also downloads DMG, ZIP, RAR. We also accept applications for sites without video.
● Preview images. Supported sites will now display video previews.
