Additional information

Solution to a problem that I personally encounter every day. If after unmounting the image, you cannot move/delete it, open the task manager, go to details and kill all unnecessary DTAgent processes. It is easy to figure them out, for example, they will have the same video memory consumption (1104 KB), the main one will have more, you do not need to kill it.

Notes

If you download this program to bypass old copy protections in computer games, after installation you will need to install the SPTD driver from the folder where you installed Daemon Tools. Starting with Windows 10 version 1093, this can only be done by disabling protection from Spectre and Meltdown (which does more harm than good, unless, of course, you suffer from paranoia). To do this, create a file with the .reg extension and enter below code there:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]
"FeatureSettingsOverride"=dword:00020000
"FeatureSettingsOverrideMask"=dword:00020000

Save the result and run it. Only after that you can install SPTD and reboot the computer. If you did everything correctly, in Daemon Tools, in the Mount menu, the Virtual Drive option will appear, and then everything is simple: change the drive type there from DT to SCSI or IDE, mount the disk image with the game, play.
It may seem to you that all of the above is dancing with a tambourine and is generally very difficult… but in fact it only seems that way to you
