Boris FX Continuum Complete Overview

A collection of plug-ins, from the authors of the Oscar-winning Mocha technology. Continuum’s functionality ranges from image restoration to extruded text, titles and 3D objects, as well as color and composition, particles and image stabilization. This distribution is built, among other things, on the original Mocha pixel selection algorithms Masking and Planar Tracking Pixel Chooser.

Boris FX Continuum Complete Features

Continuum is the second Boris FX product this year to gain new AI-powered features, in the form of new tools for noise reduction and machine learning-based video enhancement. Available for a variety of applications, DeNoise ML removes low-light and compression artifacts. UpRes ML, currently only available for After Effects, upscales footage while preserving fine details and the ability to scale specific areas of the source clip.

Particle Illusion – Continuum’s particle effects system has new AI capabilities: it allows you to generate sprites for use with particle emitters based on text prompts. This feature uses the Stable Diffusion artificial intelligence model from the creator of Stability AI. Other new features in Particle Illusion include the ability to turn particle lines into real 3D objects, as well as new options for controlling velocity inheritance. Workflow improvements include a new Scale Project feature for uniform scaling of particle systems, as well as a UI Scale Factor for easier resizing of UI elements.
